The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts invites Letters of Intent from organizations interested in applying for its Activation Fund grant opportunity in 2022. Letters of Intent are due April 28, 2022. The Activation Fund supports discrete, one-year projects in Central Massachusetts that demonstrate creative and innovative approaches to addressing community health concerns and that move an organization to its next level of capacity and effectiveness, which can be sustained beyond the term of the grant.
Given the extraordinary challenges nonprofits continue to face as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the robust investment market in 2021, the foundation has increased its Activation Fund grantmaking budget by 60 percent over last year to more than $850,000 in 2022. While grant amounts will vary based on project scope, funding request amounts in the range of $60,000 to $120,000 are encouraged.
Those interested in applying should visit the foundation website and attend an online information session for details including guidelines, deadlines, and examples of previous grants. In addition, interested parties are asked to contact the foundation’s Senior Program Officer, Ms. Jennie Blake by April 1, 2022 to seek guidance on alignment of proposed project ideas before submitting a Letter of Intent.
