2025 Annual Conference on Health Philanthropy

Forging Partnerships for a Better Tomorrow

Solving large, complex societal issues not only compels funders to use their resources in new and creative ways, but requires them to build strong, lasting partnerships with a wide range of public and private stakeholders. As we mark the 60th anniversary of the Medicare and Medicaid Act and the start of a new administration, as well as reflect on 20 years of rebuilding since Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the power of partnership stands as a key force for improving health for all.

The 2025 GIH annual conference is an important opportunity for funders to collectively explore innovative, multisectoral partnerships at the local, state, and national levels that advance health and equity. We’re planning sessions that highlight how funders effectively partner with diverse stakeholders, bring community voice and expertise to partnerships, and identify key learnings from these collaborations.

GIH will be hosting its 2025 annual conference from June 16-20 in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. The theme, Forging Partnerships for a Better Tomorrow, will explore how grantmakers across the country are partnering to yield big advancements in health.

The GIH Annual Conference on Health Philanthropy is held each year to bring together the most influential voices in the philanthropic sector. Our attendees include some of the world’s top leaders in the nonprofit, government, and private sectors. We have an impressive lineup of keynote speakers and workshops that provide our attendees with the knowledge and tools to make a lasting impact in their communities.

Who Can Sponsor?

GIH is honored to work with a wide range of sponsors and supporters, and we pride ourselves on our ability to customize sponsorship levels to meet our supporters’ needs. In addition to the tiered levels of sponsorship, we also offer the following options:

Themed Sponsors: Themed sponsorships are created to support a specific need or location within the conference. Themed options could include: phone charging stations, wifi branding, attendee SWAG bag, social receptions, attendee meals, or other creatively branded opportunities.

In-Kind Sponsors: In-kind sponsorships directly offset conference expenses through the donation of professional services or products, such as donated food or beverage at an off- site reception, donated transportation to site visits, donated services for social events, items for attendee SWAG bag, and other similar non-monetary contributions.

Custom Sponsors: Custom sponsorships are tailored for organizations that wish to support the annual conference, but would like to mix and match benefits or pursue additional options not outlined in the prospectus. The GIH team can work to create a benefits package that will work for your company or organization.

Sponsored Email Opportunities

Grantmakers In Health (GIH) is a nonprofit, educational organization dedicated to helping foundations and corporate giving programs improve the health of all people. Its mission is to foster communication and collaboration among grantmakers and others, and to help strengthen the grantmaking community’s knowledge, skills, and effectiveness. Through our in-person convenings, webinars, and other programming, GIH serves as the premier gathering space for funders focused on health and health-adjacent topics. Philanthropic organizations and advisers that make annual financial contributions to support our work are recognized as GIH Funding Partners.

With more than 225 Funding Partners and an email list of 10,000+ individuals, our communications reach a large audience of influential professionals. GIH sponsor emails receive 25 percent Open Rates on average. By becoming a GIH advertising partner, you are accessing a highly engaged audience of foundation leaders, non- profit executives, fundraisers, and other key stakeholders in the sector.

Sponsored emails take the form of a curated, promotional email sent on your behalf to our audience. You can control the layout, language, and email design through instructions or by sharing HTML. Sponsored emails cannot include attachments. All sponsored emails receive select engagement statistics.

GIH recommends that sponsored emails include content of value to our audience—such as reports, articles, and videos featuring information about public health, philanthropy, or other issues of interest to health funders. Invitations to webinars and events about related topics are also welcome. Direct promotion of for-profit products and solicitation for financial support are not permitted. As a nonpartisan organization, GIH does not accept partisan political messages.

Please contact Cecilia Kramer at ckramer@gih.org if you have questions about message content.

In 2025, each email is priced at $800 with an event sponsorship or $1,000 as a stand-alone option. Discounts are available for multiple mailings:
