Maya Schane

Communications Specialist

Maya Schane is the Communications Specialist with Grantmakers in Health, where she supports external communications efforts. Prior to GIH, Maya served as a Project Associate for a USAID-funded neglected tropical disease program across nine countries in Africa and Asia led by RTI International, where she supported external communications, international event planning, and scientific conferences. Previously, she was a Princeton in Africa Fellow with Population Services International in Cote d’Ivoire, where she supported research and communications efforts for a malaria program across four countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Maya also has experience working with initiatives related to health equity, nonprofit fundraising, and project evaluation. She holds a BSPH in public health, BFA in violin performance, and minor in international development from Tulane University.
