Cosponsored by Funders for LGBTQ Issues, Funders Concerned About AIDS, Northern California Grantmakers, and Grantmakers In Health
The LGBT Health Funding Summit brought together a diverse array of funders committed to improving the health and well-being of LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and/or questioning) communities to interact with experts from the field, build relationships with like-minded funders, and develop funding strategies for increased impact in LGBT health.
This summit built on our historic LGBT Health Funding Summit in New York. In San Francisco, we honed our focus in on social determinants of health for LGBTQ communities. Looking at case studies and lessons learned from California and across the country, we will explore funding opportunities and challenges related to:
- criminalization and violence prevention,
- education and school climate, and
- housing and homelessness.
