On January 14, Grantmakers for Children, Youth and Families and Grantmakers In Health cohosted Building a Legacy of Healthy Children in Baltimore, Maryland, a convening sponsored by The Atlantic Philanthropies.
This strategic discussion was designed to give funders the tools they need to:
- fully understand health care reform and its implications for children,
- examine the best ways to help children and families get coverage, and
- outline the action steps necessary to build a lasting child advocacy infrastructure for children’s health.
This dynamic session focused on the current status of research, advocacy, and implementation efforts in and around Maryland, to deepen work that is already underway, and explore how successful models can be replicated.
