The U.S. Supreme Court will soon rule on King v. Burwell, deciding whether the health reform law’s language allows the government to provide insurance subsidies everywhere in the country, or only in states that have set up their own insurance marketplaces. According to one projection, a ruling for the plaintiff could result in eight million more Americans being uninsured in 2016. This webinar discussed the basics of the case and its potential impact on health reform. Speakers included: Timothy Jost of the Washington and Lee University School of Law and Ron Pollack of Families USA.
