Washington, DC
At the first Public-Private Collaborations in Rural Health Care meeting, public and private funders and researchers convened to discuss federal rural health-related programs and the work of foundations in rural communities. The second meeting was devoted to collaboration on key rural health issues.
This third meeting was an opportunity to build momentum and develop plans for the future. Cabinet-level officials and program area experts were been invited to join the discussion, which occured in three different phases: interest area identification, potential for collaboration, and commitment to strategies and partnerships. This meeting was cosponsored by Grantmakers In Health, the White House Rural Council, and the National Rural Health Association.
